Previously, Toronto and Bissett agreed on a three-year extension contract on the 9th. This period includes all salary adjustment periods. It corresponds to right before obtaining FA qualification.

This contract is to prevent confrontation between Toronto and Bissett during the salary adjustment period. Recently, for the 2023 season, Toronto claimed $5 million and Bisset $7.5 million.

Bisset, who is in his 5th year in the major leagues, recorded a batting average of 0.290, 24 home runs and 93 RBIs, and an on-base percentage of 0.333 and an OPS of 0.802 in 159 games last year.

As a shortstop, Bisset can hit more than 20 homers in a season, and boasts an excellent batting record to rank as the most hit king for two consecutive years.

His overall performance is also good, with FWARs of 5.1 and 4.5 over the past two years, respectively. Therefore, if you enter the free agent market after the 2025 season, you are expected to win a good contract.
