The Hanwha Life Plus International Crown, which begins on the 5th (Korean time) at TPC Harding Park (par 72) in San Francisco, California, USA, is a team competition in the form of a national competition in which players on the LPGA tour are divided into teams by nationality. It was first held in 2014, and Korea won the 3 tournaments held in Korea in 2018. Afterwards, the tournament scheduled to be held in England in 2020 was canceled due to the spread of Corona 19, and it will be held again this year after 5 years.ㅋㅋㅋ벳

Korea will defend the title as the defending champion in this tournament, which will be held again after 5 years.

This year’s participating countries are Korea, the United States, Japan, Sweden, England, Thailand, Australia, and China.

The tournament divides eight countries into Groups A and B, and the group stage is held until the third day, and then the top two teams in each group advance to the final tournament. From Days 1 to 3, four-ball match play is held, and on the last day, the semi-finals are held in the morning and the finals in the afternoon, with 1 foursome match and 2 single matches.

For each game, 1 point is awarded for a win, 0.5 points for a draw, and 0 points for a loss, and the points earned up to the third day determine the finalists. In the event of a tie, a playoff will determine the finalists.

The United States, Sweden, England and China were drawn in Group A, and Korea, Japan, Thailand and Australia were drawn in Group B.

Korea, featuring Ko Jin-young, Kim Hyo-joo, Jeon In-ji and Choi Hye-jin, will face Australia on the first day of the tournament. In the first match, Choi Hye-jin and Jeon In-ji face off against Lee Min-ji and Stephen Kairiakou, followed by Kim Hyo-joo and Ko Jin-young against Hannah Green and Sarah Kemp.

Jeon In-ji, who is participating in the tournament for the second time as the eldest sister of the team, said, “The tournament was held in Korea in 2018, so I felt a lot of pressure to win. It was the best memory of us wearing the crown of the International Crown on our heads,” she said. I will quickly understand the thoughts of my teammates and try to create good teamwork.”

On the second day, they will play a group stage match against Thailand and on the third day against Japan. The prize money is $500,000.
