Ji-Man Choi (Pittsburgh Pirates) has missed his third straight game.
Choi was scheduled to start at first base for the Pittsburgh Pirates’ 2023 Major League Baseball game against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park in San Diego, California, USA, on 25 July, but he reportedly did not play due to illness. Carlos Santana started at first base instead.
According to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Santana was supposed to be rested for the day. With San Diego right-hander Darvish Yu on the mound, manager Derek Shelton decided to start Choi at first base. But when Choi informed Shelton that he was feeling ill, Shelton asked Santana if he could play, and Santana said he was “100 per cent”.카지노사이트
Santana went on to hit two home runs that day, leading the team to an 8-4 victory.
Meanwhile, San Diego’s Ha-Sung Kim also had a multi-homer day.
Kim hit a solo shot and a two-run shot in the first and fifth innings, respectively.
In the bottom of the first inning, Kim led off with a three-pitch fastball from Pittsburgh starter Quinn Priest, a 149 mph four-seam fastball, for a solo home run over the fence in right-centre field. It was her 13th of the season.
Trailing 8-1 in the bottom of the fifth after a grounder to shortstop in his second at-bat of the inning, Kim lined a four-seam 135-kilometre-per-hour slider from Frister over the left-centre fence for a two-run shot. It was his 14th home run of the season.
