The soccer team of Jungwon University will participate in the National Sports Festival held in Jeollanam-do in October as a representative of Chungcheongbuk-do.
The selection of representatives for the National Sports Festival in the Chungbuk region was carried out through selection until last year. However, from this year, the regulations were changed to grant the representative qualification to the team with the best performance in the spring competition among local university teams.
Jungwon University participated in the 59th Spring University Football Federation Tongyeonggi held in Tongyeong, Gyeongnam, and defeated Full Gospel General Assembly University 1-0 in the round of 22.

The Joongwon University soccer team announced its departure in October 2012, and has played official matches since 2013. It is emerging as a dark horse by winning the runner-up in the first national competition in the spring competition last year.
At the center of the rising trend of Jungwon University is 43-year-old coach Lee Se-in, a young coach.
