DB plunged Samsung into a deeper losing streak on the away game.
Wonju DB Promy won 85-82 in the 4th round of the 2022-2023 SKT Adot Professional Basketball regular league Seoul Samsung Thunders held at Jamsil Gymnasium on the 21st.
DB led the team’s attack with Kang Sang-jae recording 22 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists, including 3 3-pointers. Dewan Hernandez also did her part with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
For Samsung, Daral Willis scored 26 points and 6 rebounds, but could not save the team from a losing streak.
DB took the lead first with an even score distribution at the beginning of the first quarter. Samsung tried to change the atmosphere by attacking with Willis, but Leonard Freeman showed a good performance in defense and lowered the effectiveness of Willis.
In the second half of the quarter, DB clearly took the lead with three 3-point shots. After Chung Ho-young’s two 3-point shots, Kang Sang-jae fired an outside gun to boost the momentum, and DB finished the first quarter with a 26-20 lead.
In the second quarter, DB widened the gap to double digits with Hernandez’s goal. Young players such as Lee Jun-hee and Park In-woong committed turnovers one after another and allowed Samsung to catch up, slowing down, but DB finished the first half 47-40 with Leonard Freeman and Kang Sang-jae scoring consecutively in the second half of the quarter.
Samsung’s counterattack began in the third quarter. With Willis, who scored 9 points in the 3rd quarter alone, various offensive options worked out well, DB once allowed a turnaround. However, after setting the mood with Lee Seon Albano’s consecutive goals, DB took the lead again with Kang Sang-jae’s quick break at the end of the quarter, narrowly leading the third quarter, 66-64. 슬롯사이트
The 4th quarter was also intense. Neither side could clearly open the gap, so the tight flow continued.
It was DB who preoccupied the high ground in the middle of the quarter. Albano’s jumper and Choi Seung-wook’s fast break scored to raise the mood. However, Samsung did not back down easily. Lee Won-seok’s 5 consecutive points brought the balance back, and Jung Ho-young’s 3-point shot was answered by Willis with an outside gun.
Still, it was DB who laughed at the last moment. DB, who took the lead again with Albano’s 3-point shot 37.6 seconds before the end of the game, blocked the opponent’s attack in the ensuing defense and secured the victory.
