Director Jeon Chang-jin laughed while talking about Park Kyung-sang.

Park Kyung-sang was a national star in high school. Despite his not-so-tall height of 178cm, he showed excellent offensive power and was called ‘Masan Iverson’ after NBA legend star Allen Iverson. After a successful college year at Yonsei University, he was called by Jeonju KCC with the 4th pick in the 1st round in the October 2012 draft. Park Kyung-sang’s performance in his debut season was excellent with 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

But after that he went downhill. In the 2013-2014 season, Kim Tae-sul and Kim Min-goo joined, and his weight decreased. Park Kyung-sang, who was unable to establish himself properly after being discharged from Sangmu, played for Ulsan Hyundai Mobis, Changwon LG, and Wonju DB, but did not stand out as much as he did in his debut season.

And ahead of this season, he returned to his home team, KCC, after 6 years of hiatus. With a total of 35 million won in his remuneration, it was the lowest annual salary in KBL. At the end of the season, it was practically his last chance to qualify as a second free agent. 토토

Park Kyung-sang, who is extremely proud, showed a different appearance and caught the attention of KCC coach Jeon Chang-jin. He is averaging 13 minutes and 37 seconds in 25 games this season, averaging 3.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists. He wasn’t a great player, but as a sixth man, he energized the team whenever he was put into the game.

The 2022-2023 SKT A-Dot Professional Basketball Suwon KT and KCC’s 4th round confrontation held at Suwon KT Sonic Boom Arena on the 10th. Park Kyung-sang’s true value shone once again. He performed like Altoran with 12 points and 2 assists, including 3 3-pointers, in 20 minutes and 50 seconds. In particular, whenever KCC suffered from KT’s fierce pursuit, it exploded the outer shell and contributed to the team’s 76-60 victory.

After the game, coach Jeon Chang-jin said, “(Park) puts in a 3-point shot when Gyeong-sang is having a hard time or in a situation where he needs to score points. He defended so well and scored the necessary goals, so we were able to win a great victory.”

“I hope our Gyeongsang will give us a lot of compliments. I don’t even get a lot of salary, but I came to our team to try basketball again, and I really suffered a lot. Considering the salary, it is a special class A. I think it’s great to see him grow and take his place in the team,” he laughed.

Director Jeon Chang-jin smiled at the mention of Park Kyung-sang’s name. With his performance this season, Park Kyung-sang is expected to be able to play on the court as a professional basketball player next season as well.
