The ‘Smart Air Dome’, a facility specialized in soccer field training, will be opened for the first time in Korea in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the 29th, in 2020, a specialized battery training facility supported through a public contest by local governments will be completed and opened in Gyeongju for the first time in Korea. The completion ceremony to commemorate this will be held on the 30th (Monday), attended by 300 people, including Second Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Cho Yong-man, National Sports Promotion Corporation Chairman Cho Hyun-jae, Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-young, and local residents.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been promoting the ‘Air Dome Installation Support Project’ since 2020 to revitalize the local economy and create new jobs by installing domestic battery training facilities where training can be conducted comfortably regardless of the season, whether in summer or winter.

After being selected as the target for the Air Dome installation support project by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2020, Gyeongju City invested a total of 10.7 billion won, including 5 billion won from the government, to complete the nation’s first ‘Smart Air Dome’ with a regular standard indoor soccer field. 메이저사이트

‘Smart Air Dome’ is designed as an all-weather training facility, equipped with a system that automatically purifies air by supplying air from the outer membrane of the air dome facility, and protects the internal space from external environments such as fine dust and bad weather.

The column-less indirect lighting system of the ‘Smart Air Dome’ allows the game to proceed without glare and shadow obstruction, and is evaluated as a high-quality facility as an air dome dedicated to soccer. The ‘Smart Air Dome’ plans to officially open in April after a two-month pilot operation period from February.
