The Korea Sports Association (Chairman Lee Ki-heung) held the 104th National Winter Sports Festival comprehensive award ceremony at 2:00 pm on the 22nd at Seoul Olympic Parktel.
This Winter Sports Festival was held without opening and closing ceremonies as it was held in 5 cities and provinces (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, Ulsan), and a separate awards ceremony was prepared.
At the awards ceremony, the Dream Tree Award was awarded as the general award, the best player award, and the special award. In the overall award, Gyeonggi-do won first place, Seoul city second, and Gangwon-do won third. 안전놀이터
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award went to speed skater Kim Min-seon (24, Uijeongbu City Hall). Kim Min-seon participated in an international competition (ISU 2023 World Speed Skating Championships by Event) and received the award on behalf of his agency, Next Creative.
In addition, the Korea Olympic Committee awarded the Dream Tree Award to the youngest medalist, the youngest multi-crown player, and 3- and 4-crown players to boost the morale of promising players under the age of 13.
In the Dream Tree Award, Kim Hee-won (8, Jeonbuk Sports Club), who won the gold medal in the ice figure skating event and became the youngest medalist at the Winter Sports Festival, and the youngest multiple gold medalists (4 gold medals) by winning 4 gold medals in the super-G, giant slalom, combined, and slalom in the ski alpine. Shin Hye-oh (13, Eogok Elementary School), who won the championship, and others were awarded.
The Korea Olympic Committee said, “We will continue to encourage the athletes participating in the Winter Sports Festival to boost their morale and encourage their dreams through various awards such as the Dream Tree Award.”
