Atletico Madrid striker João Felix, who is currently on loan at Chelsea following a falling out with his manager, has followed the social media accounts of Turkic giants Galatasaray.

“Felix has sparked speculation about his future after following Galatasaray on Instagram,” the UK’s Daily Mail reported on Nov. 11.

Felix, who came up through the ranks at Portuguese giants Benfica and joined Atletico in 2019 for a whopping €126 million (KRW 180 billion), has been called the next Antoine Griezmann and is expected to be the future of Atletico. In his home country, he was hailed as the next Ronaldo.

He didn’t do too badly at the start of his career. While his finishing was problematic, he did a great job as an attacking spearhead, beating opponents with his dribbling and creating chances for his teammates with crisp passes.

However, his attacking point production was very poor. Felix’s poor form has always been a concern for Atletico, who are one of the top three teams in La Liga alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona.

He made just 24 appearances last season, and while his 8 goals and 4 assists weren’t bad, they weren’t good enough for Atletico. His relationship with head coach Diego Simeone also soured, and he was sent out on loan to Chelsea in the winter transfer window after only playing the first half of the season.

Felix was also disappointing at Chelsea, scoring just four goals while showing disappointing finishing. Atletico are looking to sell him rather than bring him back, but there aren’t many teams interested in him, making it difficult to sell him.

This has led to speculation that Felix could be heading to Turkiye this summer, as he has been following Galatasaray’s social media accounts.

According to the Daily Mail, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek was pleased, saying, “The fact that Felix is following our club shows how important Galatasaray is to him.”

Tottenham Hotspur, Son’s club in the English Premier League, have also made an offer for Felix. However, Felix is said to have rejected the offer, preferring to play for a team that can compete in the Champions League. Aston Villa are also in the running, but they have a ticket to the Europa Conference, the third tier of UEFA’s club competition.

Galatasaray finished first in the Turkkiye League this season and will play in the UEFA Champions League next season. The prospect of competing in the Champions League is likely to have appealed to Felix.먹튀검증

Meanwhile, Felix’s departure will be an important factor in Lee’s decision to join Atletico. Atletico, who are currently the favorites to sign Lee, are in a tug-of-war with Mallorca over the transfer fee. The money from the sale of Felix could help fund a move for Lee.

Yannick Carrasco has also been linked with a move to Barcelona, so if Felix leaves, the club will need to bring in Lee to fill the gap.

He has also been linked with Son Heung-min. If Felix changes his mind and joins Tottenham, he could compete with Son Heung-min, or even become best friends. Both Heung-min and Felix prefer to play on the left wing, but they can also play in the center and on the right.
