Bang Shin-sil, the star of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour’s “Jangta Syndrome,” has jumped to No. 110 in the world rankings.
Bang Shin-sil is ranked No. 110 in the newly released Women’s Golf World Rankings, up 123 spots from No. 233 last week.
Her rise was driven by her win at the KLPGA Tour E1 Charity Open, which concluded on Aug. 28, and two top-10 finishes in the past month.
“My goal is to become the No. 1 player in the world,” Bang said after her first career victory.
The former South Korean international has quickly become a favorite on the KLPGA Tour with her long drives of over 300 yards.
She started the season as a ‘conditional seed’ after a poor showing at the seeding event in November last year, but her victory erased any worries and secured her place on the tour until 2025.먹튀검증
Ko Jin-young, who Bang Shin-sil cited as a “role model,” retained the top spot for the second consecutive week.
Nelly Koda (USA), Lydia Ko (NZL), Lilia Boo (USA), and Minjee Lee (AUS) remained in second through fifth place.
